National Mutt Day

National Mutt Day – December 2 and July 31

If you have a dog or a dog lover, you know what we are talking about when we say National Mutt Day. National Mixed Breed Dog Day is another name for this same day. It is a day exclusive to celebrate all of the Mixed Breeds of Dogs that exist in the world today.

Dogs come in different forms and sizes, but one thing they all have in common is that they’re all adorable. The fact is that no dog is superior to another, and mutts are no different. They are just as intelligent, sweet, and loving as any purebred dog.

When is the National Mutt Day?

This day will be observed on December 2nd, 2021.
Luckily, every year, on July 31st and December 2nd, we commemorate National Mutt Day twice.

National Mutt Day

History:

Famous Animal Welfare Advocate and Celebrity Pet Expert Colleen Paige first organized this day in 2005. This day aimed to encourage people to stop judging dogs based on their appearance.

Paige wanted to change the perception of people towards mixed breeds and especially when it comes to dogs.
